FAQ
I logged in but can’t do anything in the world.
New players will first enter the world with a restricted visitor role. In order to interact with the world, another player with the role of member or higher must first vet you by issuing the command /promote <playername> in chat. As an example, to promote a new player named prenetic to the role of member, another member (or staff) would issue the command /promote prenetic in chat.
Staff have the ability to demote players as well. To demote a player with the role of member back to the visitor role, simply issue /demote <playername> in chat.
How do I claim land?
The plugin providing claims is WorldGuard. To claim land, you must define a selection with a WorldEdit wand or chat commands, and then request a claim via the /rg claim <region_name> command. Further details are provided by the WorldEdit article on Selection and WorldGuard article on Claiming.
Claims can be seen alongside protected regions in Dynmap by selecting the WorldGuard layer.
Why do I have different characters between Java and Bedrock clients?
You need to globally link your accounts via the GeyserMC portal. This will establish a relationship between your Java and Bedrock accounts, and will ensure the Bedrock client joins using the player data from your Java account.
Upon linking, the progress gained through your Bedrock account will be lost!
I received a notification stating chat messages can’t be verified.
Some plugins on the server manipulate chat messages which effectually disables Mojang’s new chat reporting system. Since manipulating chat messages requires stripping their cryptographic signature, the in-game chat feature behaves as it did prior to the new system. Mojang now warns you that chat messages you receive may have been altered from the original, which was always the case up until the new system was added.
A side effect is that players cannot report one another to Mojang for abuse, as there is no way to prove the authenticity of messages provided as part of a report.
